R.E.S.P.E.C.T

There’s no doubt that photographers can be idiots. (Let’s face it, most people are idiots…) A case in point.

So while others might think that anything goes to get the shot, we (dis)respectfully disagree. We are lucky enough to travel all over the world for our work, taking photographs for our clients in all sorts of amazing situations. And while we are, if not exactly happy, definitely willing to (and have done so in the past) climb ladders, scaffolding and the like with all our equipment, we always ask these questions before a shoot:

  • Is it safe?

  • Is it legal?

  • Do we need / do we have a licence to shoot here?

  • Is it ethical?

If the answer to any of these is “no”, then we will not take the shot. (We think our insurance company would agree.) And we discuss this in detail with our clients beforehand, so expectations are set.

So while getting the shot is the thing, it’s not the only thing
