How big does an event have to be to warrant professional photography or video? Do you need hundreds of team members there? A handful of your best customers?

What if it’s just six people? All of whom work for your company? Because we’ve done that!

He’s not swearing at me, honest…

It was a board meeting (and AGM) for a small business in Ealing. Even we’ll (and they will) admit that photographs of board meetings are not the most exciting and dynamic subjects we’ve covered in our careers, there were many good reasons for our being there.

For a start, the leadership team wanted professional headshots, and the AGM guaranteed they would all be in the same place at the same time. So we set up a mini-studio in their meeting room to get quality, consistent headshots for their website (and social media).

They also wanted to humanise the managers - put faces to names - and demonstrate corporate leadership. Although this was a small business, it was run professionally, and as a local business was run by people who were part of the community. Showing this off was important to them. And our photographs were used for local marketing to increase the business’s visibility and get more business. (And, of course, our photos were designed to stand out better than a quick snap on an iPhone!)
